Midwest Roundup - Week 7

Hard to believe, but the 2017 Division III Men’s Soccer regular season is quickly coming to a close, with just a few weeks of matches remaining. As the final weeks of conference play come upon us, teams are making their finishing pushes towards conference tournament seedings. A tour around the Midwest reveals continued excitement throughout every conference as the action has really heated up in October.

Kentucky

Transylvania (11-1-0 / 4-1-0) was the last undefeated team standing in the region until Manchester (6-8-0 / 2-3-0) handed them their first loss in double overtime on Saturday. Earlier in the week the Pioneers downed Hanover by a shutout. The Pioneers are in a three-way tie with Hanover (9-4-0 / 4-1-0) and Rose-Hulman (9-4-1 / 4-1-0) for first place in the HCAC.

Centre (7-4-2 / 3-0-2)) are unbeaten in conference play, having picked up wins against Rhodes and Hendrix this past weekend. Jeb Burch and the Colonels are third in the SAA standings behind Oglethorpe (11-2-1 / 5-0-1) and Sewanee (8-6-0 / 4-0-2) with a game in hand over both.

Illinois
