Ryan Harmanis played for Ohio Wesleyan from 2007 to 2010. A three-year captain, Ryan helped the Battling Bishops win three NCAC regular season and tournament championships while being named first-team All Region and a first team Academic All-American. Following graduation, Ryan continued to follow the D-III landscape before joining D3soccer.com in 2013. Ryan combines an analytical background with a passion for writing and the game of soccer to help contribute to the visibility and awareness of the Division III game.
Ryan went to law school at The Ohio State University, graduating in 2015 with dual JD/MBA degrees. He just finished a federal clerkship for the Honorable David W. McKeague of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and will spend the next year as a Deputy Solicitor General for the State of Ohio. In the meantime, he hopes to continue to provide D-III commentary while also watching his younger brother play at OWU.
