Senior Nick Rapisarda scored the game-winning goal in the 107th minute as Tommie men's soccer posted a 3-2 home victory over No. 19-ranked Luther Sunday at South Field.

St. Thomas, who never trailed, avenged a 4-2 loss at Luther in September 2012.

St. Thomas' unbeaten streak is now at seven since an Aug. 30 overtime loss. Five different Toms had a single goal or assist. Sophomore Ryan Bernhardt scored 99 seconds into the game on a scramble off a corner kick, off an assist from junior Kevin Gjersvig.

Luther junior JW Slauson evened the score with an unassisted goal in the 11th minute, but 12 minutes later, the Tommies took a 2-1 lead on an unassisted goal by sophomore Miles Stockman-Willis. Early in the second half, freshman Ryan Medina scored his first goal of the season with an assist by sophomore Josh Parris, to even the score yet again.

But in the second overtime period, Rapisarda took a lead pass from senior Alex Bernhardt and chipped in past the keeper for the win. The goal was his sixth of the season and 27th overall.

The Norse were edged in corners 13-9 and in shots on goal 8-5.

St. Thomas moves to 5-1-2 on the season, 0-0-1 in MIAC play, while Luther falls to 4-3.
