No. 3 Wash U women edge No. 10 Emory

Sunday featured a key match-up in the women's Top 25 as No. 3 Washington University traveled to UAA opponent tenth-ranked Emory University, and in the NWC, No. 20 Linfield needed a win to remain atop the conference standings.
In men's action, No. 18 Wisconsin-Oshkosh cruised past Finlandia 9-0, avoiding another draw to improve to 8-0-4. No. 19 Pacific Lutheran used two goals from Derek Johnson in the final 10 minutes to get past Whitman 3-2, moving to 9-0-3 and holding at second place in the NWC.
No. 22 Wisconsin-Whitewater bested Wisconsin-Platteville 3-2 on a goal in the last second of regulation from Sam Novak. Southwestern edged the University of Dallas 2-1 to improve to a program-best start of 9-4 and 7-0 in SCAC play, and Trinity (Texas) were 5-1 winners at Colorado College.
The Wash U women edged Emory 1-0 on an early goal from Kate Doye. Doyle re-directed a corner kick from Becky Berels for the winning goal. With the win, the Bears improve to 9-1-0, while the Eagles fall to 7-3-1.
Linfield avoided any surprises with a strong 4-1 defeat of Willamette. And Penn-State Berks came back from a first half deficit to defeat Morrisville State 2-1. The Nittany Lions improve to 10-2-1, and 8-0-0 in the NEAC.
