Tuesday's action featured conference tournament semifinal matches from across the country, with winners looking to the weekend for their chance at the post-season tournament.
In the NACC, Dominican cruised past Concordia-Wisconsin 5-0, while Edgewood blanked Benedictine 2-0, setting up Saturday's championship match. Earlier in the season, the Stars and the Eagles played to a scoreless draw.
The CCIW semifinal featured a repeat of the regular season final between No. 13 Wheaton and North Park. The Vikings scored first and appeared ready to move on to the tournament final, but the Thunder equalized in the 87th minute and then advanced via a 5-3 result in the shootout.
No. 20 Gordon fell to Roger Williams 2-1 on an overtime goal by Jesse DiPietro. Gordon will meet Western New England in Saturday's CCC final after the Golden Bears won their own match in double overtime on Jake Bartnik's goal in the 108th minute.
In women's NJAC action, top-ranked Montclair State blanked Stockton 2-0, while No. 9 TCNJ edged No. 12 Rowan 1-0 on a late goal by Christine Levering - the two winners face off on Saturday.
Wheaton (Mass.) made it look easy in a 6-0 win over Coast Guard in the NEWMAC quarters. Freshman Alexa Sanchez had two goals in the match, as the Lyons outshot their opponents 29-7. Wheaton will face Springfield in a semifinal on Saturday, while Babson will face MIT in the other seimfinal match.
