Alma Routs Albion in 70 Minutes
ALMA, Mich. - Alma College scored four times in the first 10 minutes of the contest and it pulled away to a 9-1 win over Albion College in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's soccer action at Scotland Yard.
Taryn Handyside, Mackenzie Smith, and Kailey Vlug all produced two goals in the first half for the Scots. Alma took 30 shots in the first half and it led 7-0 after 45 minutes of play.
Lindsey Lubanski scored for Albion, finishing a set piece with less than three minutes remaining. Lubanski leads Albion in scoring with three goals on the season.
Albion continues league play at 12 p.m. Saturday when it squares off against Adrian College.
