Harrison Goal In 2nd Overtime Propels Bulldogs To 1-0 Win Over Farmingdale

Farmingdale, NY---The Brooklyn College Men's Soccer Team battled for 105 minutes of a scoreless battle before junior forward Chavel Harrison scored off a rebound to convert the game winner, giving the Bulldogs the 1-0 win over Farmingdale, and evening the team's season record to 1-1.

The goal came after a Dmitry Prokofyev shot was deflected by Ram goalkeeper Angelo Viteritti, and Harrison found the net and earned his team the hard-fought victory. 

Farmingdale did outshoot Brooklyn 19-14, however BC had nine shots on goal to only five for the Rams, as they squandered some opportunities to win the game in regulation. 

"I must give the guys credit," said Head Coach Rawle Hensford after the win.  "Although we let some opportunities go to allow the game to go into extra time, we hung in there and were able to put it away in the second overtime period."

Junior goalkeeper, Stamatis Boundouris was excellent for Brooklyn in the win, fininshing with five saves and earning his first shutout of the season. 

Brooklyn will head to Manhattanville College for this weekend's Valiant Classic where they will face DeSales on Saturday at 6 pm and then Manhattanville on Sunday at 3:30.
