More news about: Brooklyn men's team

Flushing, NY --- Brooklyn College seniors, midfielder Dmitry Prokofyev and goalkeeper Stamatis Boundouris have been named the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Men's Soccer Player and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, for the week ending September 15th.

Coming in BC's lone game of the week, a 3-0 shutout victory over borough rival NYU-Poly on Friday, September 13th, Prokofyev netted a pair of goals, including the eventual game-winner, to help power the BC offense to the win.

Boundouris, making his first appearance of the season, was just as vital to the win, playing all 90 minutes in net, while making two key saves to preserve the shutout.

Prokofyev, Boundouris and the rest of the BC Men's Soccer team will be in action tomorrow, Wednesday, September 18th, as the Bulldogs will play host to the Rams of Farmingdale State College. The match is scheduled for a 4:30 pm start at BC Field.
