ORANGE, Calif. - After surrendering an early goal Cal Lutheran scored three unanswered and held on for a 3-2 road win over Chapman on Monday. Freshman Taylor Will scored the final two CLU goals and netted the first game-winner of her collegiate career.

Box Score: CLU 3, CU 2 - F

Will put Cal Lutheran ahead 2-1 in the 33rd minute after her right footed shot scooted off the hands of diving Chapman goalkeeper Chloe Canta, caromed off the inside of the post and in for the score.

She went on to net the eventual game-winner in the 74th minute after Kristina Hulse flicked the pass over her head and Will chipped it in over Canta.

The freshman currently leads the team with seven goals and feels she has continued to improve as she continues to earn more playing time.

It was a come-from-behind victory for Cal Lutheran as Chapman struck first in the fifth minute when Tess Amato's shot off the post rebounded to teammate Danielle Molina for the opening score.

Fortunately Cal Lutheran had a quick response scoring the equalizer just over three minutes later. CLU defender Rebekah Casas made an immediate impact during her first start this season and has now scored one goal in each of her four seasons with the Regals.

At the time Will's second goal seemed an insurance score providing a two-goal lead. Chapman did not go quietly after Aimee Evans scored in the 89th minute getting behind the CLU defense on a long ball from Rebecca Bortz and dribbling past goalkeeper Kristin Bailey to score on an open net.

It was tense over the final 74 seconds of regulation as Cal Lutheran played keep away for the final minute maintain possession and a one-goal edge to the final whistle.

CLU goalkeeper Tina Hedwall made two first half saves to pick up her second victory this season.

Cal Lutheran (6-1-0) will be on the road for the seventh time in eight games this season to face La Verne on Saturday, Sept. 24.
