No. 22 Regals Shut Out La Verne
LA VERNE, Calif. - The No. 22 ranked Cal Lutheran women's soccer team again took its show on the road Wednesday night defeating La Verne 5-0. The Regals remained the only undefeated team in conference play following the victory.

Freshman Taylor Will was a part of four Cal Lutheran goals and netted the game-winner herself in the 18th minute off an assist from Sinead Vaughan. Will assisted on three of the other four Regals goals finished off by Jess Armstrong, Kristina Hulse and Rebekah Casas.
Armstrong scored her first two goals of the season to lead the offense against La Verne. She was part of two scoring spurts that featured a pair of goals within a two minute span.
Two goals in the 44th minute pushed a slim one-goal lead to three heading into halftime. A pair of early second half goals put the game out of reach and concluded an eight minute stretch featuring four Cal Lutheran scores.
CLU goalkeeper Renee Standage picked up her fourth win of the season after finishing the first half of play. Tina Hedwall started the second period and made one stop before giving way to Kristin Bailey, who made two stops to preserve the clean sheet.
Cal Lutheran (7-1-0, 3-0-0 SCIAC) held its position atop the conference standings with the victory. The Regals will host Whittier (0-7-0, 0-3-0 SCIAC) on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Mt. Clef Stadium.
