More news about: UW-Whitewater women's team

The match was high action out of the gate with UW-W posting their first scoring opportunity just a minute and 24 seconds into the contest but CSB goalie Megan Favorite saved a scoring chance by Alyssa Chamberlain. Less than three minutes later, Jenna Woodson had an opportunity that was also saved and 26 seconds after that Sarah Sedlar's opportunity was thwarted by Favorite.

Saint Benedict made good on their first scoring opportunity of the match with Laura Kosch registering her second goal of the season from an assist by Colleen Bouchard that went off the goalie's hands into the net.

With time running out, Sarah Sedlar redirected a clear by the Blazers that found the back of the net, her fourth goal of the season, to tie the game at 1-1 at 85:56.
