Wade, Salas Register Two Goals Apiece in Regular Season Finale Victory

WEST HARRISON, N.Y. – In her final game of her stellar two-year career for the City College of New York women's soccer team, Dzindzi Asamoah-Wade registered two goals and one assist to lead the Beavers to its 14th shutout victory, a 5-0 win over Yeshiva University Thursday evening at Silver Lake Park in West Harrison, New York.

The 2012 Beavers end the season with a 16-5 record, the best single-season record in CCNY history and while Yeshiva dropped to 1-11 on the year. This year's team shattered numerous records including wins, shutouts (14), goals (69) and assists (54) and puts an end to remarkable careers for seniors Tabitha Azor, Angelica Lopez, Frances Tapia and Wade.

Wade set a new single-season record with 22 goals on the year and with her assist in last night's victory, the City University of New York Athletic Conference / Applebee's Player of the Year became the first player in CCNY women's soccer history to reach double-digits in goals and assists with 22 and 10, respectively. Junior Jessica Salas added two goals in the win over the Macabees while Azor registered her eighth goal of the year. Junior and second-team CUNYAC / Applebee's all-star Paola Ramos added two assists to end the season with 13 assists, the new single-season record for the Beavers.

Goalkeeper and second-team CUNYAC/Applebee's all-star Nicole Carroll posted four saves in her 14th shutout and 16th victory of the season, also school records for a goalie. The defense, highlighted by first team CUNYAC/Applebee's all-star Heather Ruger, junior Lindsay De La Rosa and Lopez, stifled opponents all season as the defense and Carroll allowed just 23 goals all season.
